The African Astronomical Society (AfAS) Conference 2026 is Africa’s flagship gathering for astronomers, astrophysicists, engineers, policymakers, and educators. Scheduled for 22–27 March 2026 at Wild View Resorts in Kasane, this will be the first AfAS Conference ever hosted in Botswana.

The event is jointly organised by the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) and the Ministry of Communications and Innovation, in collaboration with the African Astronomical Society (AfAS), and the Republic of South Africa’s Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI).
